The truth will make you thin.

I highly recommend Dr. Fitzgerald's book. Two years ago I bought in to the eat more to increase your metabolism idea and it wasn't a pleasant experience. I did lose weight that way but I ate only healthy food and I worked out religiously. After 4 months I lost 70 lbs. but the obsession with eating was a big problem. I slowly gained some of the weight back when I couldn't handle the 4 to 6 meals a day system. Since discovering FAT LOSS THE TRUTH I have finally found the answers I need and this system works GREAT! I eat 2 meals a day, sometimes 3 and I am fasting every day for at least 15 hours, 8 of that is while sleeping. This is not difficult at all. I have lost 20 lbs in a month and I am only walking an hour every other day for exercise. My wife is also doing the fasting and eating plan and she has also lost 20 lbs. I don't have much more to add to that except to say thank you Dr. Fitzgerald for providing us all with the truth!

Eye opening and freeing

I have spent years eating the 5 to 6 small meals a day in order to lean out. There have been times when I have had success with this method and times when I have not. One thing that eating that way did for me though is make me food obsessed and terrified of getting hungry.

I bought Fat Loss: The Truth on a recommendation from a friend who was working one on one with John Fitzgerald. I was nervous to try his recommendations around fasting. It went counter to all that I have been working with for years. However, I tried it and I amazed how freeing it is. Once you get used to it (which really is a bit more mentally challenging than it is physically) its pretty damn easy. I am much happier now eating this way and seeing some good results.

The book itself is well written with personal stories and experience paired with scientific studies to back up the practical advise.

This book is well worth checking out for at least to have it challenge the conventional wisdom a bit and at the most it will bring you great results and free you up to do other things rather than think about food all the time.

The Truth!

I am a fan. As a female amateur MMA fighter, keeping trim is very important...it's also very hard when you love to eat and have a sweet tooth like me. I put this book to the test after I came back from a 6 week school. During that time of eating out every day and snacking throughout the day I put on 20 lbs even though I was exercising rigorously 3-4 times a week. When I got home I immediately implemented Dr. John's fasting techniques and within a month I had lost almost all of the 20lbs I had gained without being super strict or giving up anything I craved. My roommate was extremely jealous since she had paid $300 for a personal trainer, was on a VERY strict diet, aaaand had gained 2 pounds...my advice READ THIS BOOK! It is so simple, it will literally change you life. Thank you Dr. John!

It's a poorly written, self-published book, filled with bad grammar, misspelled words, blinding repetition, etc. It reads like a report some fifth-grader wrote for his Introduction to Electronics class:

"No one can talk about the cyber security without bringing up the word hacking." Or this, from just a couple paragraphs later: "It is not easy to categorize a given activity as hacking and in fact, it is difficult to do." Wow -- not easy AND difficult?

One of my favorites, also from the first chapter: "Back in the 1960s and 1970s, the members of the youth international party tapped the telephone lines and performed pranks." Seriously...."the youth international party"?

I guess the "Beginners" used in the title means people who are just beginning to be aware that there are things called "computers." The advice given is along the lines of 'don't do bad things when hacking' and 'watch out for things online that seem suspicious.'

It's junk, and it's in the trash.

Simple, quick to understand.

Every programmer should be acquainted even in the basics of hacking techniques to ensure the safety of their websites and personal information. With the increase of online businesses, hackers has never been this motivated to attack sites.

Digging deeper in the Hacking world, I like how this book simply introduce the hacking techniques particularly the most common ones like bluetooth hacking, email spams, different injections for website hacking and determining the IP's and email handler then after each set it provides a quick solution to avoid this vulnerability.

The author did a good job in passing information in a not so complicated matter that even a basic programmer like me can easily utilize.

In American literature he discusses realist and science fiction works, from Susan Fenimore Cooper's Rural Hours to Paolo Bacigalupi's The Windup Girl, Barbara Kingsolver's Flight Behavior to Kim Stanley Robinson's 2312, and Ana Castillo's So Far from God to Leslie Marmon Silko's Gardens in the Dunes. In international literature, he analyzes Mo Yan's The Garlic Ballads, Jiang Rong's Wolft Totem, Michiko Ishimure's The Lake of Heaven, Miyuki Miyabe's All She Was Worth, and other novels. Fantastic history book!

This book is very well-written. The book has chapters around 20 pages long, but with lots of helpful pictures and maps mixed in. We recently moved to Missouri and I wanted to learn about the history in the area and then take appropriate field trips. This curriculum has worked out perfectly. This also touches on American history as it fits together. My daughter is 7, but this book is challenging and could easily be used on up through 6th grade or with different age groups together. I highly recommend the activity book to go with it. The activity book contains a page to take notes from each chapter, vocabulary, critical thinking worksheets, and a test for each chapter. I am not a history buff, but I am enjoying this book, too!

Decent text book, appreciate the companion workbook

We are using this text book, and the accompaning workbook, for our homeschool studies of our home state of Missouri. This is a fairly good textbook for the subject. It does start with Early Americans--meaning Indians, and also discussed Columbus and other Explorers who found America...this was all review from our US History studies. It did go into more detail about the specific Indians that lived in our area, which is good...but a good portion of the first couple of chapters we just skimmed over. I will say this is the best book on the subject that I found!

This is a good book but for a younger person.As stated it is on a 5TH grade reading level, but has useful information. I reccomend this book.
